Bruce Patterson, DBA, MBA

Bruce Patterson is a very well-respected construction professional and community leader in Philadelphia. He brings more than thirty years of preconstruction and construction management experience. He has organized and led teams of professionals for major construction companies in the Philadelphia/Tri-State area and has fostered several strategic alliances which have helped, him grow, develop, and establish himself as one of the leading minority Construction and Development Professionals in the area. He has worked on and completed more $500 million in construction and development projects including, residential, retail strip malls, mixed-use, health science, educational, institutional, property management, interior rehab, and renovations, etc. 

 

Notable projects include Progress Plaza, Park west Plaza, The Edge at Temple University, Liberties Walk, The Piazza Northern Liberties, MLK and Richard Allen Homes, Sharswood Homes, Phillies Stadium, Robin Hood Dell, Please Touch Museum and Lincoln Square. Companies under his leadership have hired more than 1,500 construction workers (more than half of which were minorities and women) and have been recipient of the Philadelphia Business Journal’s Top Minority Owned Business Award two years in a row and listed in Philly Magazine’s the top 100 Minority Construction Firms.

 

Bruce oversees company operations, which include, finance, administration, preconstruction, project management, contracts, HR, and administration. He coordinates all project facets that bring the firm together with building owners, developers, design professionals, and other organizations to ensure successful projects. Bruce is especially successful in civic and community relations and has worked on numerous projects helping public and private developers to work in partnership with the community, engaging local residents and constantly fostering positive relations.

 

Bruce holds a Doctorate in Business Administration and Leadership and a MBA Degree with Specialization in Accounting. 

He serves on numerous community action boards and he is the founder, chairman of Bethel Community Services CDC in Philadelphia, PA.  He is a thoroughly experienced, skilled and talented business professional who is committed to changing lives for the better and building bridges in the construction industry that will empower and impact change especially in urban communities.
